A brutalist table lamp by Bijan J. Bijan (Bijan of California) for Laurel Lamp Company, model 'Setarrah' (H-927), first cataloged in 1968. The lamp is built around a tubular brass column with hand-cut, torch-brazed brass elements above a black cast-metal square base. 

The Bijan/Laurel collaborations are among the most distinctive American brutalist lighting designs of the late 1960s and remain consistently sought after.
