Pair of French Art Deco Bedside Tables, 1940s

An elegant pair of French Art Deco bedside tables, beautifully proportioned and finished in a blond wood with a shimmering, rippled grain. Each table has two drawers with patinated bronze knobs, set beneath a top with gracefully canted corners and a protective glass panel.

The cases rest on slender, softly curved legs that taper to small bronze sabots. A bronze trim along the lower apron, with a central decorative clasp, adds a refined, jewel-like accent.
