'Spring' by Cornelis Kloos, c. 1926

Oil painting in antique wood frame by Dutch painter, Cornelis Kloos. The composition has a strong Art Deco sensibility, with elongated bodies, clean contours, and a flattened, decorative approach to space. 

Kloos’s treatment of the figure feels both classical and modern rooted in academic study but pushed toward a more graphic, rhythmic abstraction typical of the 1920s.

Good vintage condition with visible wear to the surface consistent with age.
